Oak Class, Year 5

Home Learning

Welcome to your home learning page!
We recognise that everybody’s situation is different.  Please don’t feel pressure to complete every activity, or to complete learning activities for hours and hours each day. You are best placed to decide how much or how little your children can complete, alongside everything else going on in your house at the moment.  Above all, be proud of yourselves – we are all having to reinvent what we do each day, with the overall aim of looking after ourselves and each other.  You’re doing a great job.

Well done to everyone for logging onto TT Rockstars and practising their times tables.  We are currently battling against Year 6 (Chestnut class). See the results below!

Other ideas to try:

· Take a Spring walk with your family for your daily exercise. What signs of spring do you notice?

· Challenge your parents to a keepy-uppy test – who gets the most?!

· Bake something delicious for your family! Use scales to weigh, jugs to measure, timers to keep time, look at how the mixture changes when you bake it, have a taste test…the learning opportunities are endless

Don’t forget to check out the stories read by the staff of Stoke Park School!

This week we have Mrs Penellum reading Dear Zoo and Mrs Sage reading the Very Hungry Caterpillar in Spanish!

· To view these, please check out the videos on our blog
