Online Safety

Online Safety

At Stoke Park, we are committed to ensuring that all our children are aware of how to behave responsibly online. We teach online safety through our computing curriculum and also regularly throughout the year during PSHE lessons and assemblies.

We know that as a parent it can be hard to know how to talk to your children about online safety. Please follow the link below for some useful tips from the NSPCC

The following websites are really helpful in supporting parents to help keep their children safe online.

Net Aware

Net Aware gives guidelines on social media, apps and games that children may be accessing. It gives Top tips for staying safe whilst using them, and what risks and benefits there may be to using them.

NSPCC

The NSPCC page is a really useful website for advice and guidance on how to support online safety at home and how to set up parental controls and privacy settings.

NSPCC Online Safety

If you’re worried about something a child or young person may have experienced online, you can contact the NSPCC helpline for free support and advice. Call them on 0808 800 5000.

Children can contact Childline any time to get support themselves.

Please also talk to a member of staff if you are concerned about your child’s online use.
