Chestnut Class Home Learning

Welcome to the Year 6 Home Learning Page. You will find a range of of activity ideas here linked to the learning we have been doing at school. This page will continue to be updated regularly, so do keep coming back!

We recognise that everybody’s situation is different so please don’t feel pressure to complete the learning activities within the timetables below for hours and hours each day. You are best placed to decide how much or how little your children can complete, alongside everything else going on in your house at the moment.

Above all, be proud of yourselves – we are all having to reinvent what we do each day, with the overall aim of looking after ourselves and each other.  You’re doing a great job!

Previous learning:

Term 4 – Frozen!

This term’s topic is geography-based and the children will be learning all about frozen locations around the world. They will be delving deeper into what life in Antarctica is like by doing extensive research and writing a non-chronological report, as well as exploring the expeditions within this polar climate through the journeys of Ernest Shackleton!

Weekly homework (Maths and Literacy) will be given out on a Monday to be returned by the Friday that same week.
